COVID-19 UPDATE 5.4.21

Bob Lewis Ballpark Friends & Family,

Welcome back to our 2021 baseball and softball season! We are working diligently on keeping the park safe and sanitized on a frequent basis. As the continued health and safety of our families, players, coaches and staff is of utmost importance to us, we will continue to follow North Carolina mandates for social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions.

Currently, our state is under Executive Order No. 209, which expands upon Executive Order No. 204, and further eases certain restrictions on outdoor gatherings.

Please note, in particular, the following safety precautions we will be following that are included in the order and highlighted below:

CAPACITY LIMITS50%

At outdoor sporting events, the facility limit for spectators/guests remains at 50% of the facility’s stated fire capacity or 12 guests for every 1,000 square feet. (Players, coaches and officiants are not included in the capacity calculation.)

To achieve this, we will continue to have the areas behind home plate taped off as well as the bleachers. Spectators are prohibited in these areas. Please bring your own chairs, if desired, and use each foul line fence along with the homerun fence to sit. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this matter.

FACE COVERINGS/MASKS FOR PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS – NOT MANDATED, BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

Please note that “masks are still strongly recommended outdoors by NC DHHS (North Carolina Division of Health and Human Services) in crowded areas.” Under the latest North Carolina Executive Order, “masks will still be required indoors, but are no longer mandated outdoors.” We are asking guests to remain considerate of others and continue to wear face coverings while waiting in the concessions line or in other high traffic areas.

SOCIAL DISTANCING – 6 FEET

Individuals must continue to maintain 6 feet of social distance from others while “in lines at point of sale and other high traffic areas.” Please remain considerate and respectful of others and maintain 6 feet of social distancing while waiting in the concession line, restroom lines or other high traffic areas.

Please continue to check here for more updates. You can also visit our Play Safe page for the latest safety information and links to the current North Carolina executive orders pertaining to our tournaments, practices and other usage of Bob Lewis Ballpark.

Thank you so much for your patience. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!
