Bob Lewis Ballpark Rules

VISITORS AND GENERAL PARK RULES

  • All park visitors must display positive sportsmanship, behavior, proper language, and refrain from any physical or verbal abuse towards players, coaches, fans, umpires or park officials.
  • Bob Lewis Ballpark is an active sports complex, please be always be aware of errant balls.
  • Children under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Children should be within sight at all times.
  • Bob Lewis Ballpark is dog friendly. Dogs must always be leashed, and pet owners must clean up after their dogs.  Dogs must be well behaved; aggressive dogs or dogs that continue to bark are not allowed. Bob Lewis Ballpark staff reserve the right to ask visitors to remove their dog(s) from the premises.
  • Chairs and tents are allowed. They must be set up out of the way of heavy visitor traffic and a safe distance away from concession stand entry areas and restrooms.  Tents should be safely secured using spikes on dirt ground or weights on concrete surfaces.
  • For participant and spectator safety, skateboards, scooters and/or other mobile play items may only be used at the far end of the fields away from heavy traffic areas.
  • For participant and spectator safety, balls of ANY kind, frisbees and/or other throwable objects or games must be used at the far end of the fields away from heavy traffic areas, especially around the concession stand and restroom areas.
  • Park visitors are not allowed to enter unauthorized areas. This includes the press box, concession stand and maintenance buildings.
  • In the parking lot, drivers must drive slowly and with extreme caution. Youth and families walking through the parking lot must exercise extreme caution.  Horseplay, running and/or other distracting activities are prohibited in the parking lot.
  • Park visitors should lock vehicles and be attentive to personal property. Bob Lewis Ballpark is not responsible for damaged, lost or stolen items.
  • Music – Teams may use one designated device for team music. Volume must be controlled to that playing field, and songs must be clean and family friendly.  Songs with vulgar language and/or inappropriate lyrics is prohibited.  Park officials have the right to stop use of devices at any time.
  • All fences are provided for safety purposes only. Park visitors are prohibited from climbing fences.
  • Attending and using Ball Lewis Ballpark and all facilities is strictly at your own risk. The Ballpark, it’s owners and staff assume no liability for errant balls, sports related injuries or other injuries that may occur from use of the park.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

  • Coolers – Park visitors may bring personal coolers containing food and drink, however, alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
  • Food and drink served and sold at Bob Lewis Ballpark concession stands may include products that cause allergies. Please be mindful if you have food allergies or concerns.
  • Under no circumstances are unauthorized vendors allowed to sell food, beverages, snacks or any other products or services without the expressed written consent and approval of the management at Bob Lewis Ballpark.
  • No individual, team or group may set up group catering, serving or dining (i.e., tents, tables, bulk catering or food service/prep) on the concrete areas or sidewalks in front of or leading into the upper or lower ballfield complexes.
  • If your team or group needs to set up a dining area, you may engage in tailgating in the outer edges of the parking lots or set up in the grassy areas beyond the outfields. (For the upper fields: behind left field of Field 1 or behind right field of Field 3. For the lower fields: behind the fences of Field 4 and Field 7.)

  • Absolutely NO GUM or SUNFLOWER SEEDS are allowed on the turf infields. Violation of this policy can result in an automatic $300 fine. 
  • Metal spikes/cleats are prohibited on pitching surfaces and fields for both baseball and softball. Only molded cleats and/or turf shoes are allowed on turf infields.
  • Sharp objects such as tent stakes, corner flags or other objects that can penetrate the turf are prohibited on the fields.
  • Bob Lewis Ballpark is a drug and alcohol free facility.
  • Alcohol and illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the premises of Bob Lewis Ballpark at any and all times. If caught with alcohol or illegal drugs, you may be asked to leave the premises and/or your team will be suspended.
  • Smoking and/or vaping inside the park or the park facilities is prohibited as Bob Lewis Ballpark is a tobacco free facility.
  • Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Guns, knives or weapons of any kind are prohibited.
  • Drones and/or remote-control toys are prohibited.
  • Grills and/or open flame heaters are prohibited.
  • Bicycles and/or other wheeled vehicles are prohibited on the fields.

TEAM, PLAYER AND astroturf RULES

Bob Lewis Ballpark has specific rules related to Astroturf that must be followed:
  • Absolutely NO GUM or SUNFLOWER SEEDS are allowed on the turf infields. Violation of this policy can result in an automatic $300 fine.  Please make sure friends and family are aware of this new policy.
  • Metal spikes/cleats are prohibited on all surfaces for both baseball and softball.
  • Baseball pitchers MUST wear molded cleats or other athletic shoes on pitching mounds.
  • Sports drinks and/or soft drinks are prohibited on the turf.
  • Alcohol is strictly prohibited on the premises of Bob Lewis Ballpark at any and all times. If caught with alcohol, your team will be suspended.
  • Smoking and/or vaping inside the park or the park facilities is prohibited as Bob Lewis Ballpark is a tobacco free facility.
  • Bob Lewis Ballpark is a drug free facility.
  • Glass containers are prohibited.
  • Dogs are prohibited from being on any area of the ballfields (turf and the outfields) at any time.

Failure to abide by Bob Lewis Ballpark Rules may result in financial penalties and/or immediate removal from the Park by Ballpark Staff and/or Tournament Providers.
